The San Rafael Arcángel Church is not only one of the most emblematic buildings in María Elena; it is also part of the collective memory of generations of pampinos. That is why the launch of its restoration and enhancement works marks a particularly significant milestone during the town’s centennial year.
The project, developed through a collaborative partnership between the Municipality of María Elena, the María Elena Foundation, and SQM, will help preserve this historic landmark and ensure it continues to serve as a place of gathering, identity, and tradition for future generations. It represents a new chapter for a symbol that has been at the heart of the community’s history for one hundred years.
